I took this picture in my local cafe’ in Cusco…El Cafe Extra ! / I was having my breakfast when this man.. el Señor Castro came in ! / He is a local and he is a lovely and friendly person always with a big smile ! / But I caught him looking at the window for a long while in such a contemplative and sad mood ! I had the time to get my camera and take this photograph ! It wasn’t an easy one..there was not much light and the exposure was 1/20 second ! But I just love his expression ! Okay well this morning I felt the urge to get out and finally take some new pics and the first thing that caught my eye was a bunch of dandelions that were starting to break apart.. However I didn’t feel like just taking a plain shot of a dandelion, I felt like doing something a tad more artistic, so today I have a series of three dandelion shots that I have processed in an artistic way to break free of the standard flower macro bounds.. I am open to all feedback because I will only keep shots uploaded that people think are worth being on the sight.. Thanks for having a look! With this particular shot, I attempted to capture the moment of the decline of the dandelion as it begins to fall apart now that Spring has past, and I think I managed to do that (atleast I hope!).. I chose black and white because I believe it often has the power to evoke emotion and mood into an image..

As you can see this is the same image as the original Floral Fireworks that I uploaded earlier.. One of the responses to the original shot was a comment from LocoCow saying that adding some selective colour would really make this is sparkle, so I gave it a go and here we are.. Let me know what you think and whether or not I should keep it on here.. / Thanks for looking!

Cusco, Peru´! El Cafe Extra is the place I like more in Cusco ! / Nice and quite, welcomes tourists and local people ! / There are stories about Pablo Neruda and Che Guevara enjoying the nice coffee here when they visited the city…!!! / Not sure it´s true, but what I´m sure is that coffee here, locally produced, really taste great..! / Mr Castro is one of the many regulars, he is nice and friendly although he gets deep in thoughts sometimes ! / I love his face and expression! this is one of the many shot I took during one of the many breakfasts at El Cafe´ Extra !
