For me this is my best photo ever. I was in safari park and it was very difficult for me to watch all these baboons inprisoned and sadness in their eyes was extreme strong. I love animals very much and at my home I have quite a ZOO. I try to do so much for them, to rescue them, if nothing else I feed now so many birds in my yard, this is at least what anybody can do.This image change my way of thinking about us humans very much. I hope this image will move you the way it moved me and force you to do something good for animals. Thank you very much for viewing my work. Xenia!

Mama snow leopard was not happy with her cub ..she wanted to sleep but the baby kept looking for her ..she finally looked up to a tree where she thought she could get away and did finally ...baby yelled at her after as if to say “Im mad at you Mom ” ..it was cool to watch thanks to Danae Leach for pointing this out that it wasnt a white tiger .. I knew this … I dont know what I was thinking today geeeze the heat is getting to me !!!

Critically Endangered, a census in Feb 2000 found only between 22-27 Amur or Far Eastern Leopards left in the wild. Found in southern Russia and northern China these animals are superbly adapted for the harsh winters of these parts of the world. They have long fur and a layer of fat on their flanks and belly for insulation. They are excellent climbers and swimmers. The main threat to the region is the exploration and exploitation of oil and natural gases. Increased Middle East instability, effective technology that can survive the cold and the high demand for fossil fuels, puts this wonderful animal’s habitat under increasing pressure. As you will see from others in my portfolio, I am quite fond of big cats! This image is also available as a colour version. Please let me know if you are interested.

I layered the original photo under the b & w version on the computer- then just used the erasing tool to reveal the pink on the tongue below. This one was also cropped.

My Douc Langur- Extremly Rare and now they are leaving and going to singapore—how upset am I and how upset is the Keeper of these wonderful monkeys. / Only Zoo to have them but they are going to a huge place where they will be more free. I will miss their gentle faces. I also will be photoing the hell out off them before they go. /

Another one of my shots from my trip to the Toronto zoo. I loved the black and white version of this, it got rid of all the distractions around the tiger, but I wanted his eye colour in the shot, so I selective coloured his eyes. I am very happy with how it turned out. I hope you like it too! Thanks for looking! =)smile / /

Golden Lion Tamarins from South America are classified as Endangered. / By 1965 numbers were so low that the Poco das Antas Reserve was established in 1975 in an attempt to protect them. Marwell Zoo is now part of the Tamarin Conservation Programme and several pairs from the zoo have been reintroduced to the wild near the Reserve and are breeding successfully. / Visit www.marwell.org.uk This, I think, is one of my best cutouts. I love the golden colour – these little fellas are just so full of life and energy – they are terrific fun to be around. I think one of these days I’ll have to spend a whole afternoon in their enclosure (it’s a walk through) and sit with a tripod. It’ll be interesting to see what they make of me!

Anothe shot from the Toronto Zoo. I know I posted a shot of the tiger before, with selective colour, but I loved this one. / He looks like he is hunting, he wasn’t he was just walking by me. The colour version was very distracting with the bright green plants all around him, that is why I decided to go for B&W again. I selective coloured his eye to make it a little more dramatic, so that you could see where he was looking. I was so happy with how it turned out. I hope you like it too!!!
