When She Walks She Moves So Fine Like A Flamingo

The longer we are together, the more we are alike.
At least its not a Gatecrasher Cd…. dikitah dikitiah! bom bom bom bom _ Secret Info Hour _ • The dudes Rioting around the flaming tank – One of them is holding up a sign with “Down with this sort of thing” on it… • In the middle is a stomp box (guitar effects pedal) it has two knobs with “Art” on one and “Sales” on the other… see if you can think up a clever meaning…maybe the struggle between keeping your art the way you want and then trying to make money from it too? • In tomorrows class i will show you how to harness free energy to power your country for free.. you will need: some paste, paper, snips, crayons, Wilco’s Auto-Neutrino Matter Modulator and a ball of string… also diplomatic immunity and a bullet/tank/poison proof vest

This is my first big fractal! :) I have no idea how to do scripts, lol, so this was created by using individual Apophysis flames and putting them together in Photoshop Elements 2.0 Winner – Fractal Ts Avatar Challenge, Aug 17, 2009.
This piece is special to me. I wanted to create a piece with a message, in this case, the conservation message. “In Our Hands” was created from a low key photograph taken on my Kodak Easyshare CX7300 P&S camera with an Apophysis fractal overlaid in Photoshop. Featured in A Fractal Energy Passion 11/02/09 / Featured in Point And Shooters 13/02/09 / Finished Fifth in the Standing or Falling for Something challenge on the First Things group. / Placed 8th in What Do You Fight For challenge for the Woman Photographer Group May 2009. / Featured in #1 Artists of RedBubble Aug 8, 2009. / Featured in Bits And pieces Oct 12, 2009.
You know where, and I’ll tell you when … we will meet again.
This one’s been swimming around in the back of my mind for a while now but I couldn’t get it quite the way I want it. I’m still not 100% sure it’s perfect so who knows, I may fiddle some more later if I decide it’s not right! :) Five Apophysis fractals, no scripts, just manual fiddling and overlaying in PSP. :) These flames are all mutations of one another and as they went by me I thought it looked like a planet coming into existence, hence the idea of a planetal “genesis” artwork. The Māori people were the original settlers of Aotearoa (New Zealand). Their culture and history is rich and beautiful, and to this day is an important part of New Zealand’s culture. Their legends around the creation of the world and this beautiful land have always captured my imagination. / A Hei Matau is a bone or greenstone depiction of the Hook of Maui. Māori legend holds that the North Island of New Zealand was once a huge fish that was caught by the great mariner Maui using only a woven line and a bone hook. Legend holds that the shape of Hawke Bay is that of the hei matau, which caught in the fish’s side. / For the Māori, the hei matau is taonga (a cultural treasure). It represents not only their land, but also prosperity, fertility and safe passage over water. They also denote the importance of fishing to Māori, and their relationship to Tangaroa, god of the sea. Original is in rollerball on 100gsm cartridge paper – printed onto a tee! :) SOLD – One t-shirt with this image, May 2009. / SOLD – One t-shirt with this image, August 2009. For those of you who remember, Falkor was the name of the Luck Dragon in The Neverending Story, back in the eighties. I always loved the movie and Falkor was an adorable cross between a dog and a dragon, strange though that might seem, who stuck with me always. :) / A marriage between Apophysis and Photoshop Elements 2.0. Individual flames combined into one piece, no scripts, just manual fiddling. SOLD: 1 Laminated print of this image, November 2009. 500+ Viewings Group: 1184 views at time of submission.
