this is the most amazing kite I’ve ever seen ~ the man flying it had it harnessed around his waist with multiple strings to guide it…far cry from the “box kites” I grew up with made with paper and thin plywood with tears of cloth as its tail :)

A photograph taken in the heart of Eastern Washington State. Reminds me of all the road trips I took as a kid in the back of a dusty old truck, rumbling along the bottoms of these cliffs and coulees, with the scent of dry sage permeating the air.
