  • This is the Holden Monaro HT GTS350 driven by Peter Brock in his first Bathurst 500 on October 5th 1969. This photo was taken at Muscle Car Masters, Eastern Creek 2007.

  • Taken on Scenic Drive. Carmel, California. November, 2007. There’s an interesting story behind this photograph, and #244, “Scenic & 8th. I was in a local camera store in Carmel, the manager of the store was telling me my camera was a toy because it wasn’t a high priced SLR, like he seels in the store. Obviously this annoyed me because i knew what my camera was capable of doing. So I left the store, walked down toward the beach, saw these Cypress trees, and took these shots in about five minutes. / I then walked back up to the camera store, and showed them to the manager, and the staff. They were impressed with the quality of the images. / I love my camera! I’m using the Panasonic Lumix FZ-50 That is what I used to take almost all the photographs in my portfolio. I’m satisfied with the performance of that camera. The images speak for themselves.

  • This is for Mike, one of the weather guys on the Cocos Islands. Everyday we would ask him what the forecast was, and everyday he would reply “Mostly fine, chance of a shower”! I guess this was the “chance of a shower” bit! Mike is a great guy with lots of wonderful stories from his time spent living all around Australia. • During my travels in six states in the past week, I finally landed in Durbin West Virginia, where I stayed with a friend of mine. This old coal steam engine depot is in her little historical town of Durbin. We finally got a chance to ride this train that soon will be reaching it’s centinial (100th) birthday in 2010. This engine is called The Durbin Rocket One of three coal steam engines actually running in the world. When we came to a short stop, I took advantage of shooting this (and yes, have quite a few shots while riding it) Something about the elderly gentleman looking at this engine remembering when he was a boy and rode trains like this enticed me to shoot it in black and white. This has not be converted, I changed settings on camera to shoot in BW, I will be adding more photos of my travels after I return from Texas this weekend. This was shot in SS priority, F-stop of 8.0, Exposure at 1/125, ISO of 400, Exposure Compensation at 0 / Best if viewed larger.

  • Yesterday while I was out looking for wild horses, I came across this magnificent creature, surrounded by the late afternoon sunlight and all of the sparkling glory of Autumns color. He stared at me for a brief moment as I quickly clicked the shutter and then he was on his way. It simply took my breath away being so close to such a powerful wild horse, yet he was so trusting to allow me into his domain so I could truly rejoice in nature and all her splendor.
