  • Mr.Roland died two days after I took that picture,he was a realy good friend and I use to tease him a lot.He was blind but always recognised me because he knew my voice«Ah!....« Gigi de St-Hippolyte»he used to say , holding my hand.He never asked for much only to organised his meal in a way he could easily eat by himself and to give him his chaplet for the ceremony on sundays.A great person , very generous and smiling all the time. The worst part for him was not being able to go to the bathroom ,I think that idea killed him ,he was so proud. He died very peacefully with her daughter and son ,hand in hand .The hand you see in the picture is his son’s .Let’s say that if I wasn’t passionnate about my job I couldn’t do it . / /

  • STALKING TIGER Slowly through the grass / The tiger stalked his prey / His movement long and languid / In the middle of the day / The sun was high and bright / As a vivid burning orb / His body moving slowly / Less heat there to absorb / Gazelles were moving fitfully / Around the waterhole / Nervous eyes were flitting wildly / As the world they did behold / A movement in the distance / And the animals did jump / The nerve ends all a jangling / Each one with quivering rump / Then like avenging angels / The tiger now does pounce / Gazelles are scattering wildly / With a death like spinning dance / And one of them is slower / No longer held at bay / The tiger now triumphant / As it finishes its prey Phil Sanders (aka Brummieboy) / 5/4/07 Thanks for the wonderful poem Phil!

  • Featured in Children the Power of Raw Emotion – August 09 – Thank you!! Featured in All About Hearts – July 09 – A very big thank you to the hosts! Featured in Canon DSLR – June 09 – thank you so much!! Featured in The Woman Photographer – June 09 – thank you very much to the hosts! This portrait of Mila (2) was taken in the back garden. Her older sister, Perrin, ran around behind her holding a black cloth to act as a ‘backdrop’ for me. In true 2 year old style, she decided today was the day that she would NOT smile, and as for looking at the camera… you can forget it. Keeping still was also not an option. So this is the end result of a frustrating shoot, but maybe the more interesting for it. Canon 400D, natural light, pp in photoshop CS2.

  • The Black King’s Knight / Artist: Simon Sherry / Biography: Danny Excellence in military studies and on the battlefield gives the ordinary soldier a chance to become a Knight for the King the Black Spear. Generations ago it was discovered “breeding and class” had no place in determining one’s fitness to lead on the battle field. / Those chosen as the best are sent to be “improved” by the Shaman. These Centaur type warriors can leap over the dead and the fighting and have two hearts to steer their massive frames. / Selection is considered a great honour and a privileged life greets those that achieve this lofty acclaim.

  • The Black King-Bishop’s Pawn / Artist: Simon Sherry / Biography: Danny The right side of the Shaman’s brain, the masculine, is represented by things more natural and organic. In any effective army, the most efficient use of resources will always provide a distinct advantage. Knowing this, the King’s Shaman often recycles a variety of waste products including Bullrock droppings and the remains of the vanquished, and sends them back into the battlefield in a multitude of forms. While on the whole less effective on the battlefield due to their lumbering pace and ramshackle physiology, these muck golems serve a purpose both as expendable cannon fodder and biological weapon. More often than not, those who have met their end while fighting the Shaman’s foot-soldiers are smothered and engulfed as opposed to being beaten in combat. :

  • Another image taken from a woodland walk last autumn. Part of a series which I hope to put up on my website very soon.

  • Here is a re-worked image of my little girl and my husband which was on RB a while ago.. I keep coming back to it so finally decided to play with it and here it is… I originally had this image in colour but got some great advice from a fellow bubbler to try it in b&w so I did…... This image was taken when my little girl fell over on the rocks and hurt her knees and her daddy gave her a piggy back to the car before the storm came.
