Bad Nauheim is a town in the Wetteraukreis district of Hesse state of Germany. As of 2004, Bad Nauheim has a population of 30,365. The town is located approximately 35 kilometers (22 mi) north of Frankfurt am Main, on the east edge of the Taunus mountain range. It is a world-famous resort, noted for its salt springs, which are used to treat heart and nerve diseases. In the old town center of Bad Nauheim is the tithe barn at the gate to the castle: The barn was used by Elvis Presley as the motif of a record cover. Elvis Presley lived in Bad Nauheim during his time with the US Army in Friedberg. Other famous people whom have stayed in the town include Franklin Delano Roosevelt (As a boy, FDR had been taken for several extended visits to Bad Nauheim where his father underwent the water cure for his heart condition) and the Saudi Arabian football team during the 2006 FIFA World Cup. In addition, during World War II Hitler had a command complex in nearby Langenhain-Ziegenberg called Adlerhorst, “the Eagle’s Nest” (not to be confused with Kehlsteinhaus of Obersalzberg, which was never referred to as “the Eagle’s Nest” by the Nazis).

Featured in “The Wild West Show” – June 2009. Rhyolite, Nevada is a ghost town just outside the boundary of Death Valley National Park. It was a town built on gold and the hopes and dreams that the precious metal inspires. Founded in 1904 and abandoned only 15 years later in 1919, it was a very short-lived community. Menere is my husband’s auntie from Opper Egypt, close to Nag Hamadi, she was always a bit ‘different’ , smoking sigarettes, walking barefeet, reading date pits, I liked that so we got on really well. She was my favorite auntie… Watch this

by ingeThis is the traditional bracelets the Bishnoi women still wear today. I love the simplicity of it, they are quite heavy, i tryed a couple myself. These days you can buy ‘fake’ aluminium ones in the shops, of bad quality and they cut into your legs when you wear them. Rajahstan, India

Toledo Cathedral in Toledo, Spain, is ranked among the greatest Gothic structures in Europe. Inside, the cathedral contains important masterpieces including a spectacular baroque high altar and two paintings by El Greco. Toledo Cathedral stands on the site of the Great Mosque of Toledo, which itself had replaced a Visigothic church. Built from 1226 to 1493, the long process is reflected in Toledo Cathedral’s variety of styles. This was taken inside one part of this beautiful Cathedral, on film, and the print was scanned to digital. The camera used was an automatic Pentax 35mm film camera and that is all the information that I have. This shot was featured in the Iberia Group.

Ungwa/Fada Village, remote Nigeria. I knocked on the door of a precious Grandmother who I met while ministering t=in the village last December 2007, expecting her to be in, but instead it was little Alice who opened the door. When she saw me, she was so surprised and stood looking at me without any words. The rest of the Mission team burst out laughing and one elder rolled on the ground with uncontrollable giggles. Eventually Alice produced a smile, but would not move. I love this shot as it made us all laugh in what was a very difficult day emotionally as we did what we could to help the extreme poor and sick in this isolated village. / Alice is one of three orphans cared for by her Grandmother. ALL PROCEEDS FROM SALE OF MY ART, PLUS DONATIONS MADE TO PHILADELPHIA MISSION CHARITY, GOES TO HELP EXTREME POOR AND SICK IN REMOTE AND RURAL VILLAGES IN AFRICA. Your time with them goes so fast you are left just wanting more… / / / Unfortunately, Mountain Gorilla numbers are small, with only approximately 700 left in the wild. The primary threat comes from forest clearance and degradation, as the region’s growing human population struggles to eke out a living.
