This is my entry to the photoshop creative competition. The use of photoshop is not huge as I pretty much only composed nine original images together. But I don’t think it needs more “effects” to tell its story. This is a deconstruction and chaotic recomposition of an urban lanscape in Alexandria, Egypt. Because I see the future dynamic, urban, fast and anarchic.

This location in Bali is famed for its amazing sunsets. With this knowledge I waited patiently (and precariously) on the edge of a cliff for the setting sun to perform it’s magic. Alas, nature on this night was cruel and fical and the hours spent defending my camera gear against the monkeys (of which I hold a rather healthy phobia) was not going to reward me with a magical sunset moment. As a last resort I pulled out the red B&W filter and this is the result

Château de Chenonceau near the French village of Chenonceaux in the Loire Valley, is considered to be a true fairyland caste with its distinctive turrets, rooftops and the unique tower next t the castle. This specific view of the château is what makes it one of my favorite châteaus. This bridge lies on the Bosphorus in Istanbul, Turkey. The land on the far side of the photograph is the Asian continent and on the near side of the bridge is the European continent. The bridge acts as a link between the two continents. The lights on the bridge were constantly changing colour. This image features in my calendar “Scenes From the Middle East”

“Time Traveler” Photography & Artwork / by Holly Kempe © An old farm “horse” (Chevrolet truck) that now spends its / days as a mobile fruit and vegetable stall on the side of / the road at Gumlu, a little town on a desolate / stretch of the highway between Bowen and Home Hill. / The Chevy serves its retirement days well displaying / luscious mangoes and firm ripe tomatoes on its canvas / covered tray tempting highway travelers to stop and / sample its succulent wares. / Still bright eyed, it leaves its roadside vigil each day at / dusk to meander its way back along a dusty track to its / owners nearby farm. / Hopefully the old Time Traveler will see many more / daily trips up and down memory lane so that others can / enjoy its presence while reminiscing of days gone by. “Gosh that takes me back… or is it forward? / That’s the trouble with time travel, you never / can tell.” / ~ Dr. Who Time Traveler was featured in the: Image Writing group – Jan 09

This was taken hanging out of the side of a boat on The Perfume River in Vietnam. My boat was moving past these guys in one direction and I was quickly losing time waiting for him to launch his net.
