The original has become one of my most-viewed images, and ever since I created it I’ve been hoping that Tiera-zon would one day provide me with a suitable partner. / I’m satisfied that this is it. / In many ways, to my eye, it’s the opposite of Tranquility 1. The energy there travels toward the centre; here, it seems to flow out from the centre. This is more like ripples in water created by a falling stone.

Magnolia Ridge, a plantation in St. Landry Parish, is one of my favorite places to stroll and enjoy the outdoors. The owners are gracious enough to open the spacious grounds and gardens to the public, free of charge. It’s a great place to visit.

I finally got a nice shot of a cardinal! Believe me, they are very sensitive birds and just the smallest sound or slightest movement and they’re off! I’ve gotten many great cardinal BLUR pictures :P … this time I was very fortunate and lucky! I took this shot in my back yard :) The male cardinal is the state bird of both Virginia (where I’m at) and Ohio. It’s such a majestic bird, with a distinctive chirp _ I really hope you enjoy this picture. The only post production that was done was small adjustment of levels and contrast. I also added the black border, of course, to make it look more like a letterbox format. I think the black and red contrast nicely together. I hope you enjoy this piece! I like this image of a street in Natchitoches, Louisiana, because the street parallels the Cane River and is a wonderful place to stroll in the charming small town atmosphere. Natchitoches is the place where the movie Steel Magnolias starring Julia Roberts, Sally Field, Daryl Hannah, Dolly Parton, Shirley MacLaine, and Olympia Dukakis was filmed.

Yet another image in the series of Dreamcatchers…a set of photographs taken on a very misty and foggy Colorado morning, with the dewdrops catching the first gleams of the sunrise. I can’t promise the set is done, and I know three is a complete kind of number…but this little gem was in hiding long enough. There are three others in the series: Prose, Meteor and Infinity.
