by ThePaperDollHer skin was so pale, I knew she hadn’t seen the sun in a long time. / I tried to encourage her to come out and play… but she knew it was better if she just stayed indoors, away from the other children. / I tried to insist that she come outside with me, but she wouldn’t come. / I knew the stories I had heard about her weren’t true… but did anyone else?

An old photo of mine (taken in 2004), reprocessed. Seeing the potential for the shot developing in front of me, I ran to catch this silhouette just at the right moment – twiddling camera settings on the hoof, not much post-processing required. Taken on the approach to Dunnottar Castle near Stonehaven. Contains a primate of the species homo sapiens.

If I could offer one single piece of photography advice, it would be – “Take far more shots than you need. Make sure its ‘in the can’, instead of wishing you’d done things differently.” Looking back through my folders I found some ‘handy looking’ Infrared exposures I’d made of the cooling towers at Thorpe Marsh last summer… Lightly HDR’d to lose some of the flare and finished, without too much fuss, using a subtle blue tone.

I am working a series that for me shows what it may look like as we are vibes..(thoughts) first and then after enough attention is maintained on what we desire, we are manifested and or come into this time/space reality and become this stuff ..matter and all sorts of stories! What a endless life we have!
