This 9” x 12” portrait of a Bullmastiff dog waiting patiently for his master to return was created in artist colour pencils and took over 55 hours to complete. An interpretation of a real life experience… This painting was inspired by the episode of Lord Shiva and Maa Kaali in the Hindu mythology……an unstoppable dance of destruction…so Lord Shiva had to lie down in Maa Kaali’s way to put an end to this…She stumbles…her tongue juts out in remorse…as she realizes that She was about to step on the Lord, Her Creator Himself…as the legend goes… Original / Oil-on-canvas / 24 X 20 inches
