This was a crack of dawn shot on the North coast of Cornwall. I spent most of the time keeping warm in the car and in the dark. But it was worth the wait.

I took this picture a couple of years ago at the beach of Marina di Grosseto, Tuscany, Italy. / This is a fine example I think of how a fisheye lens can completely change the feeling of an ordinary scene. The subject is simply some surf on the seashore, captured from a distance of not more than a foot. / The original picture is a Fuji Velvia 50 Iso medium format slide. This work was featured in Live, Love, Dream. The background (sky and water) is a photograph of clouds I took during summer 2007 just before sunrise. I never really figured out what to do with it. Inspired by the dreamy tune of Catch A Fall by 4 Strings. I had this song on repeat while I made this. Original Shot / Reworked Version /

This was taken in Cape Hillsborough in Australia, we got up for the sunrise to see these baby kangaroos playing in the surf! It was a wonderful sight and one of my highlights on my trip down under. /
