Its late at night, you are restless, can’t sleep. A walk on the beach seems like a fine idea. No one is around. Just the sounds of the waves and the wind. The lonely wail of an offshore buoy, consistent and haunting. / You hear the sounds of your feet as you walk through the sand toward the path to the beach. / Nearing the path you wonder if it was such a good idea to walk out here alone at night. You hear rustling, the wind, you wonder? The buoy, beating it’s tune to the rhythm of the waves. A fog rolling in, brings a feel of unease to you. Looking down the path you wonder. Should I go? What was that sound? You strain to hear, but the sound of the waves and the wind leave you wondering if you really heard anything at all. And suddenly, the hairs on your arms rise….....

Drawn in 2007. Age 20. Drawn with 2H, HB, 2B, 3B pencils on smooth bristol board. This here is my late best friend Morris, who I adored, loved and cherished. Sadly he passed away in 2007 so I drew him as I remembered him best… / As a beautiful, young and healthy kitten. Childhood can be difficult time for many of us and through a number of my recent writngs and drawings i’ve tried to capture my feelings as a child; feelings of emptiness and lonliness. But Morris was always there. He was always there to offer his warm comfort. He was there when no one else was… / He is the most pleasant memory of my childhood and i feel a little less whole without him. I miss him dearly… but he will always remain loved and never will he be forgotton. Bless his little paws. The original of this drawing belongs to a very dear friend of mine, who I miss very much. I hope he is well… Though I am confident he is looking after Morris, just as much as Morris is looking after him.

Sometimes all you can do is bravely seek the comfort of others! I have been working on this piece for the last few days and added the finishing touches this morning after I logged on to the Bubble and read dearest Fa’s AKA frozenfa recent journal entry. Mama snow leopard was not happy with her cub ..she wanted to sleep but the baby kept looking for her ..she finally looked up to a tree where she thought she could get away and did finally ...baby yelled at her after as if to say “Im mad at you Mom ” ..it was cool to watch thanks to Danae Leach for pointing this out that it wasnt a white tiger .. I knew this … I dont know what I was thinking today geeeze the heat is getting to me !!!
