  • This is a collaboration I did with Geoff Coleman.. http://www.redbubble.com/people/geoffcoleman thanks geoff…loved this photo!! this piece was probably the one that took me the longest to create ever… the lighting was difficult to blend in with geoff’s photo and each test render took over an hour … there were over 30 test renders, in addition to the 20 odd hours i spent on lighting and surfaces … i was pretty determined to make it work.

  • Found
    by Firedrake

    US$3.99–US$106.40

The last things I painted in 2007. / / Watercolour, chalk pastel, ink pen and silver leaf. I got this paint flicker thing a few months back and have been splattering test canvases, this is the first time I’ve used it in a finished piece. Fun fun! / / This one I’ve called ‘found’, though that’s not necessarily what’s happening. / Each of these creatures could be considered ‘mistrustful’ perhaps. How did they come to have a shiny crown? Did they find them? Steal them? Maybe the crowns always belonged to them. / / These are actually 3 separate canvases, making up a set. I’ve combined them into one image for RB. / / / / / / / / This one shows the shiny silver crown… / /

  • Keeper of Secrets
    by Anni Morris

    US$3.71–US$98.80

Amazingly there are 20 species of Magpie in the world. Not quite sure which I have painted here… looks more like an Australian magpie Many people consider them superstitious, they certainly have their place in folklore, some believe they bring good luck, others believe bad. I remember being played Rossini’s Thriving Magpie when I was quite young; it is said they have a panache for shiny, silvery things which they like to steal and hide. / Here the magpie has found a key! I wonder where it came from? I see him as a ‘Keeper of Secrets’. / The selected text comes from a traditional rhyme I was told as a child: One for sorrow, Two for joy, / Three for a girl, Four for a boy, / Five for Silver, Six for Gold / Seven for a secret never to be told This is an acrylic painting on canvas.

    by Chris Willis

This fractal amazed me as it took on the shape of a sword…I added another fractal to create the golden haze around it and couldn’t help but connect it to the scripture below :-) ‘Above all taking the shield of faith, wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. / And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God’ / Ephesians 5:16,17

  • I really loved the shape of this train, it’s satin metal finish, and how lovingly it had been restored by the volunteers at the Zig Zag Railway. It just didn’t seem to ft into the bushland setting it finds itself in, so with a little help of PS and some excellent critiquing in the critique forum, I present you with the 2016 from Bundaberg!
