I did this illustration in college for a children’s book I had written. Honestly, I don’t even remember the name of it. (I know, that’s bad of me…bad Steve, BAD!) I don’t remember it being all that good of a story anyway. Had something to do with a kid making a rocket ship, then going to space and having crazy adventures with space monsters. (Not exactly crazy-original).

Did this one a while quite a while ago. Back when I was in my early twenties… (Oh crap I’m getting old.) Who are the monsters? Why are they swimming on a faraway planet with a pot bellied little boy? Why did I feel the need to use so much marker on this piece? I don’t have the answers to any of that…sorry. Deal with it.

The world is about to end because of global warming. Temperatures are soaring, ice is melting, glaciers are retreating, seas are rising, and we’re all going to fry. We’re all up to here with worry about it. The Royal Society says there’s no longer any room for scientific doubt about it. Britain’s Chief Scientist says it’s a bigger threat than global terrorism. / Every global warming sceptic is denounced as clinically insane. Every developed nation wags its finger at every other (well, ok then, at America) and tells it to Emit Less. Every politician and B-list celebrity now anxiously measures his or her carbon footprint. Every British schoolchild is now drilled to believe that man-made global warming is a Fact along with poverty and the existence of Belgium. Featured on Red Bubble Home Page on Mothers day 2009 this is my mom… and that is you know who.. her great grand child :))))))))))))) on the cruise to Mexico.. the amazing thing is that this is one in a series of the sweetest looks and hugs between them.. we were entertained and were just awwwwwing.. it was so spontaneous and sweet. / and!! this is one of my faves. it makes it double extra special because it was the day of my moms birthday of 83 years in 2007.. which is why we went on a cruise . all of us sisters. were there. and she got to go to the place of her dream since childhood.. I couldn’t do anything happy yesterday.. my art felt dark and it scared me. I trashed for hours so much.. which I don’t mind and am not fearful of as for me it is practice. but this is what came as a finished piece after hours.. she is my darkness.. she is my retrograde.. here is a great journal that tammy/moonsprial put out.. I don’t do forums but it is interesting how she points out the feelings I seemed to have felt lately. Betrayal and Anger too.. / ∞∞∞∞∞∞∞∞ /
