Reflective, calm and peaceful. A walk through Adelaide on a balmy summer’s evening along the Torrens, looking at public art and feeling completely at home. To have a camera there to capture a small portion of that feeling and take it home is what it is all about. / Talking Our Way Home sculpture by Shaun Kirby

The award-winning Solitude was shot on medium format, black & white film, just before dawn on the north shore of Lake Tahoe. The high-key effect was created and enhanced in-camera by filtering, with virtually no post-processing.

This work was featured in Live, Love, Dream. The background (sky and water) is a photograph of clouds I took during summer 2007 just before sunrise. I never really figured out what to do with it. Inspired by the dreamy tune of Catch A Fall by 4 Strings. I had this song on repeat while I made this.
Captured on an early morning at Denver’s historic Washington Park. Standing here taking in the scene, was just amazing, sheer serenity….so utterly quiet I didn’t even hear the Goose swimming by. Amazing that in such a large city, nature thrives, never knowing that this peace is surrounded by so many people. And for once, the world just seemed like such a better place….. —-—-—-—-—-—-— See more on my website jdebordphoto.com / All artwork is © John De Bord, All Rights Reserved. The water was so clear over in The Maldives that you could clearly see from about 15 meters away. I miss it :)

This artwork was featured in The Love Of Eerie and Enchanting Artwork Long before I ever made my own artwork, I used to do a lot of looking through online galleries like digitalblasphemy.com and 5thdimensionstudios.com. The artwork I liked best contained glass orbs floating on a still surface. I always thought they were so enigmatic… ...Stock Credits… / Background / Stock copyrights remain the property of their respective owners.

Another shot of my buddha statue. Shot in black and white, this is essentially straight out of my camera. I only did a slight levels adjustment. I just love the serenity of a buddha’s face which is probably why I keep focusing on them. Sold through Zazzle in March 2009 Also available at Zazzle including a design of business cards ideal for yoga or Buddhist centres
Three seagulls having a leisurely chat at Mornington late in the afternoon. This was the first time I had been to Mornington since I was kid. I always flashbacks of a pier down on the coast as a child and until now had never realised where it was. It looked so much smaller than I remembered it to be… Processed in Adobe Lightroom 2 and Adobe Photoshop CS. Taken with my Canon 40D and 10-22mm wide angle lens. Featured in the Piers and Jettis Group on the 28th of March 2009
One of those mornings when a photographers’ dream seems to fulfill itself. A few of you sure will “see” right through the title on this image. One of my alltime favorite places to photograph, the Whaleheadhunt Club in Currituck, NC. Best viewed in Large format.
As the planets finally aligned, last week saw me in the right place at the right time… with my camera! I drive past this dam every time I go into town, and at last I captured it in this perfect mood.
