Poulnabrone dolmen is a 5,000 year old portal tomb in the limestone Burren area of County Clare, Ireland. The dolmen consists of a massive flat capstone supported on several upright pillars, and would originally have been covered by a mound of earth. Archeological excavations found several traces of human remains at the burial site, which now stands as a stark reminder of an ancient civilisation. Looking back through the mists of time, who knows what ancient religious rites took place at this barren and windswept scene?

Angled shot taken inside the Anglican Cathedral in Liverpool. Really enjoy finding new angles and views within this building and its a great place to practice my photography. / . / Spent a lot of time with the position and cropping of this image to produce the desired look. / . / Your comments always help. / . / ste / . / Location: The Lady Chapel / . / The first part of the Cathedral to be completed and consecrated for worship was the Lady Chapel. The style of this lovely Chapel, which stands at the far south east corner of the Cathedral, is more elaborate than the main body of the Cathedral in a way which reflects its date and the influence of G F Bodley who was, at that time, working with the Cathedral architect.

That is a photo taken last year in a small school in the North East of Nigeria. Muslim and Christian were playing together and were all enjoying the Art in All of Us (www.artinallofus.org) workshops. / A great example of tolerance with the kids…. they should maybe rule the world…. might be easier… All proceeds from sales of pictures will go to the art education project of Art in All of Us (WWW.ARTINALLOFUS.ORG)

Hebrews 2:1 We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. and Hebrews 3:12 & 13 See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. /

Mixed media. Originally, this began as a ball point pen sketch on piece of white sketch paper, but soon snowballed to include 3 colors of marker, 2 colors of charcoal pencil, and some judicious use of graphite. Essentially, I guess this is all about that ‘holy spirit’ ... whatever that means (to you). Dig?

Hello bubble friends, Long time I didn’t upload a real portrait…. I took this time a couple of days ago in Eritrea in the school where we were organizing our art activities. / Some people call them the “ninjas”. Some people throw them stones while they are dressed like that… some people do throw them stones or spit on them when they uncover their faces…. In what world do we leave ? / Just leave the woman alone ! Leave the children alone ! Set them free…. Give them a voice !!! it is what Art in All of Us (www.artinallofus.org) modestly try to do !

HERES THE STORY BEHIND THE PHOTO! okay, so I’m not really a religious person, at all. But I do work at a christian preschool so one day I passed these crosses by a church and the sun was behind me and I thought it would be a cool photo to take for my boss :) okay…so here’s the creepy part. I pulled this picture up today (6 months later) and decided to photoshop it and give it to my boss. Well….I only gave it a little more yellow for the sunset….I didn’t put the “EYE” in the top right hand corner of my photo! creepy eh? What you think?

This image is replacing my previous post of “For Whom The Bell Tolls”... There were a couple things I didn’t like about the last image and I have since corrected them in this version. / / This is St. Pauls Church in Habour Grace. The church was built in 1835. I took this shot at midday with a beautiful blue sky and white fluffy clouds but I really wanted to attempt to make it more of a darker, gothic image. This is what I came up with… I hope you like. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography

’. . . the long black night begins, yet still, by the lake a young girl waits, unseeing she believes herself unseen, she smiles, faintly at the distant tolling bell, and the still falling rain.’ Alas, she is soon to become a sacrifice in an satanic ritual! Black Sabbath’s self titled song inspired by Dennis Wheatley, Mario Bava and Hammer Horror. In musical lore and legend the song gave birth to ‘heavy metal’. (They never called their music that, however.) The image was made 2007 as a demo on the use of photoshop brushes and layering them. The girl in this image actually comes from another horror film. It seemed fitting to use it hear as it reminded of the ‘chase part’ of the song near the end.
