  • The day is cold, windy and wet. Victorian Railways locomotive K160 has rolled in to Castlemaine station, in central Victoria. The sky is turning black with a storm brewing. The Guard of the train approaches the driver to discuss the next movements of the day. These two characters themselves bring an element of the relaxed way of life on the railways, while always keeping to time – the trusty old wrist watch on the drivers arm. Soon the train shall depart to its destination, Maldon. Jonathan can be contacted at: sales@vistavisionphotography.com Please email to inquire about ordering prints larger than 30inches

  • A still evening in high Summer. The heat can still be felt just by looking into the sky as the Sunset washes the countryside with its amber tones, bringing out the charm and character of the location. As you stand here watching the trees sway in the wind you feel the warm breeze on your face. Momentarily closing your eyes you are lost in a moment of complete tranquility and peace, as nothing apart from the sounds of nature and your breath can be heard. Silence is truely golden and this is examplified even more at the very moment you open your eyes and behold this wonderous beauty before you. • Darkness falls across the land, the temperature drops as the light receeds and the colours of the landscape fade to black. Soon the countryside will fall into Hibernation once again. The sun can be felt on your face as you watch it set. Your shaddow becomes lighter and lighter until it too has vanished. However just before the light surrenders to the darkness, it finds its last reserve of strength and bursts out, filling the sky with its own version of a Renaissance masterpiece. It’s very true what they say about saving the best till last. What a perfect golden moment to end the day with.
