This is my beanbag!
Acrylic on canvas. / This is in memory of my first cat called Skittle. A very prim and proper female black and white cat. I have tried to capture her precise personality in a minimal way here.
My coworker’s young Australian Shepard taken on 12/19/06. Her father is also a “blue Merle” and her mother is a Black Tri, the perfect makings for excellent stock. We call her Punz for short; she will be ready to breed in the Spring of 2008; I can only imagine how gorgeous her pups will be. I don’t take many pet photographs but, on seeing the outcome of this shot, that may change.

The kitty soaks up the sun on an equally lazy afternoon..
Medium: pencil / All of my life I have wanted a Fresian….they would have to be the most magnificent of all the breeds. When crossed with warmbloods, they make excellent dressage horses!

Original Acrylic Stressie Cat Painting / 16 by 16 Inches
I am a cat lover and this is my own version of a “quilt”, consisting 300 cats, each with their own expressions and styles. At the very beginning, my idea was to create a tessellating pattern of the head of a cat (similar to what M.C. Escher did in some of his works). I then thought, instead of making the cats look all the same and monotonous, why not making them fun to look at?

Size: 6×6 inches / Medium: Acrylic / Support: Ampersand Gessobord This is Cali. She has such an intense stare. When we got Cali 14 years ago, she was very pregnant. A few days later, she gave birth to four kittens. My husband and I decided to find homes for three and keep one with Cali because we read that it was very traumatic for a mother to be separated from all of her babies. We totally agree; there is no question about that. The one we kept is Hunter. Yes, the one in the painting titled “My Precious Hunter.”

About a month ago I was bought some beautiful tulips. I sketched them in pencil hoping I could use them in a later painting, here they are. Of course, there had to be a cat too, this one is called Tulalah. She is shy and likes to hide, she loves only the best things in life, so has her favourite Clarice Cliff pottery on show.
