As promised – the new illustration on t-shirt. Works nicely don’t you think? Wear it with pride and spread the word of environmental awareness – or just pretend you are a bad-ass with a penchant for skulls…

Hebrews 2:1 We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. and Hebrews 3:12 & 13 See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. /
Ref / with special permission from model and photographer pluschkind I bumped into this fantastic image while browsing the photography on deviant art and the photographer/model was happy to let me try my hand at drawing it. / As you can see though, I ended up painting it. oils on watercolour paper. I’ve never tried that before but i had no black watercolour paint so I thought, why not!? So all I used was black oils and turpentine to get the greys, like with watercolours. / The way the white cuts up the image reminded me of an image we’d looked at in my visual culture class, the artist had digitally erased lines through the person to create white tribal markings. this erasure gave me the idea for the title of this piece. This Portrait is available in my 2009 calendar!
“Coming Down From Black Mountain” is a signed, original, oil painting. The romance of the West, the Cowboy and Horses is a subject I always return to. Barack Obama – Change for America, for the World, for All of Us – The Audacity of Hope On November 4, 2008, Barack Obama defeated John McCain and became the first African American to be elected President of the United States. In his victory speech, delivered before a crowd of hundreds of thousands of his supporters in Grant Park in Chicago, Illonois, Obama proclaimed that “change has come to America.” Born in Hawaii, Obama will be the first U.S. President born outside the contiguous United States. He also will be fifth youngest President at the date of accession and the second since Lincoln whose primary political base is Illinois. This portrait illustrates and epitomizes the audacity of hope. President Obama was sworn in as the 44th President of the United States of America on January 20, 2009. Selected information courtesy of Wikipedia.
