Just trying new things sometimes gives something realy surprising…..experimenting is so much fun,you’ll never know what you’re gone get…. :)) / The making of that image is so simple,with Picasa I put the two pics together,one of a macro shot of bark without cropping and a portrait of my boyfriend listenning to his friends sitting at the patio table.I darked arround a little and that’s it.I didn’t have to do ajustment for the eye and the ear,it’s like the two pics were meant to fit together… :))) / I sold a matted print on the 29 th of november 08 to an unknown bubbler and that image was edited in the book “Gaïa the living planet” Same processing as Torn / When I did that image I thought about how menkind should be more united with the earth ,to feel renewed by the the contact of nature to become a better individuaL,TO BECOME A FREE THINKER.As long as we are trying to control the earth nothing good will come out of it,I often thought that we should be more like trees who are the lungs of our beautiful planet. / My friend C.C Arshagra wrote a wonderful poem inspired by this image,C.C realy understood what I felt when I named that piece. / That poem is called The Free Thinker would.. /

The world is about to end because of global warming. Temperatures are soaring, ice is melting, glaciers are retreating, seas are rising, and we’re all going to fry. We’re all up to here with worry about it. The Royal Society says there’s no longer any room for scientific doubt about it. Britain’s Chief Scientist says it’s a bigger threat than global terrorism. / Every global warming sceptic is denounced as clinically insane. Every developed nation wags its finger at every other (well, ok then, at America) and tells it to Emit Less. Every politician and B-list celebrity now anxiously measures his or her carbon footprint. Every British schoolchild is now drilled to believe that man-made global warming is a Fact along with poverty and the existence of Belgium. I was totally in Awe as these beautiful birds flew overhead yesterday evening shooting in the Noosa Basin again.. I noticed them in the distance a few days back, with my earlier shots, and was determined to get these close. I didn’t manage to get too close unfortunately, but did snap this one. They come here in the evenings to hang out on a small dead tree. I will get these close one day soon :) Fingers crossed they hang around for a while. They have a beautiful “sing” call, rather than the other species of cockatoo seems to be more a “squark”.. Canon 50D, 400mm. Noosa Basin, Noosaville, Queensland. This was the last shot I managed to get with the 1/400 shutter, then most the captured were blurred due to low light. Available Large, best viewed large!
