This photo was taken just south of Fraser Island in Queensland. With a 30 second exposure at f10 this gave the picture a fairly surreal feel about it.

Adelaide China Town on a Friday night

One of three photos I have of a piece that was destroyed in an earth quake long ago. First thing I ever carved in plaster, I did no drawings in advance, and the hollowed out round scoops were an after thought that never entered my head when I first started carving it. I say all this because it was a unique and beautiful piece then and my fond feelings for it have not changed. I recently did a larger version in wood and used power tools to make it. It does not have the same energy though for a variety of reasons. I like to tell people if there was one thing I could show them that proved I have an artist’s talent, this would be the one piece.

This is an IR shot. I took it today and the weather was extremely overcast so I’ve tried a few different things in The Lightroom. / Hope you like it.

If you look closely you can see two trains in this one. Firstly there is the blur of one on the left track heading away from the camera and then there is one approaching on the right track. I’ve deliberately left in it’s yellow light beam… Can you see them try viewing it large.. This was taken on the same night as Departure /

I had some fun in low light with a roll of insulation tape. / All of these photographs except for the bottom right corner (which is a straight macro) were achieved ‘in-camera’ using low light, long exposure, panning. Best viewed LARGE
