an early morning shot of a cemetary
Macro of a plant that looks like a dandelion covered with dew and droplets
This is a collage that I made for 9-11 and the the issues our country is having. Look close… everything has a meaning :) The broken clock is my favorite part. It’s funny I didn’t plan on breaking it but my friend decided that he was going to throw my watch accross the room after I removed it from it’s shell and it broke in that very spot. It worked out so beautiful :)
Mornings in Venice on one of its many Canals tucked away in a part of the city that few understand and with it’s twisting waterways and small alleys that few know how to travel. It’s amazing to watch as your gondola manages to take you in and out of this giant maze with knowing ease! One would wonder if a person lost would ever find their way home again!
As Venice sleeps I steal an image.

This was taken with my new Canon G10 on my way back from Uni this morning. An absolutely fantastic camera if you like lots of manual controls, but don’t want to lug around an SLR.
new orleans, la., usa 2008 / mamiya, film i seldom, pose anyone, i cant stand the idea,... yet while visiting new orleans, this fellow came walking up, and i knew i wanted his photo, that he was it for the morning photo journey. i talked to him, and as most homeless guys he was not so interested in having his photo taken, i assured him he would never be seen, yet i would capture something important that he was, and that i saw….. he agreed to let me try, i turned him away from me, and had him lean against the pole…. it worked for me, and him… i thanked him and gave him some $$ for his time and trust…. this was one of the few times i was glad to have digital, so he could see what was going to be done, had been done…. i also shot this with b/w film , 120mm, mamiya….. only 5 prints will be made.

The storm is over now; I can see the golden beams of sun peeping it’s way through the / misty clouds, heralding the coming of a new morning, calm and attached, bringing new hopes to all species and spreading love all around. I stand on the shore; the waves have retreated back, leaving the golden sand as a reflecting mirror… I was standing here all throughout the night, facing the dreadful storm – and often kept wondering if I could survive the night! The wind was too strong, and so were the waves that kept on crashing on the shore, trying to wash me away! I had started feeling weak – fighting the storm; But then, I felt like something was holding me from inside – something much stronger than the storm itself, something that could defy the odds and kept on saying “Is that the best you’ve got?”, something that wont wont let me wash away, something that blessed me with a brooding power that I would defy the storm and stand firmly on the shore, something that awakened my spirits – to be “Alive” again! ...And now, the storm is gone – for the time being; And I’m still standing on the shore – awaiting to face it once more when it comes back with it’s renewd vigor! I look at the wet sand to see a reflection – a reflection sanctified with the Power of Life, the Power of Love, the Power of “The Supreme” Being.

I have always loved Impressionism and there is no one better than Monet. I have much better luck with Photoshop trying to paint in this style than I do with real oil paint. Technology is GREAT! One of my favorite facts about Monet was the lack of black in all his work. Thank You for your views! Now Available on a Designer Stein on Zazzle!
