Well this is my favorite photograph taken at the holy beach of somnath,Gujrat in India. Very early morning I was taking the photograph of sea & fortunately I caught a gentleman praying to sea & sun. That person really added life to this photograph.

Early one January morning, I got out of bed before dawn and headed in to London and the Thames. I knew where I wanted to get the shot from. I set up the tripod and camera and waited. I hoped the sun would be visible, but had nothing more to base the possibility on other than the sky had been red at sunset the night before. My luck was in!

Morning mist rising off Lake Burley Griffin on a brisk Winter Morning is a classic and quite picturesque sight in Canberra. On this morning, I photographed a crew of rowers who appear as ghostly figures as they disappear into the mist. This is one of my earlier images, taken with a fairly simple point and shoot, but the capture was spot on despite the difficult light conditions. I cropped it in post processing, converted it to black and white and made very minor contrast adjustments. © 2008 A Spence. All Rights Reserved.

I was having my coffee this morning on the balcony while watching the rain and it gave me an idea so here it is! This was taken of the rain coming down on the balcony balustrade with the clouds in the background. I know that there are lots of amazing captures of splashes here on RB but this image really wasn’t about the splash, to me, it was more about the capture of morning rain. Another coracle …... fully laden with 2 men and a full catch. This one was taken early in the morning under a heavy blanket of fog/mist covering the lake. I was pretty surprised to see the size and number of fish they caught! Nikon D80 / Nikkor 18-135mm 18mm<br />f/6.3 1/40sec; ISO 400 (needed the little extra speed).
