I picked this rose out of my garden today (smells amazing by the way!!), decided to play around with lighting and this was the effect I achieved. Anyway, I like this one for a first attempt so I thought I will put this one up for a while to hopefully get some constructive criticism.. Also, I would love to know if this photo is to dark or light, I was trying to re-calibrate my monitor and I think I’ve might of messed it up! Anyway enjoy :o) P.S this photo is 100% natural…

Best viewed LARGE ============================================================= The fat crows feet by Nicole Ryan There were birds / black / foreboding birds / one liked to tap along my wooden fence / he was oversized / intriguing / suspicious / and far from shy / I was sitting at my kitchen table / listening to his crow call / my eyes would dart / this way / that / back out / back in / exercising / the wrinkles around my eyes / damn bird / he freaks me a little / yet; I enjoy it when he sings / and he brings all of the other birds / around and nearby / close enough / but never near / to me / to here / because they’re all afraid of him too / it’s his fence now / not my neighbours / not mine / he shits all over it / arrives each and every day / looks my way / stays / and then disappears / leaving me to wonder / if tomorrow he’ll return. / © ryan

Fishermen at the Silvrettasee (Silvretta Lake), Silvretta, Austrian Alps. / After a day-long hiking through the Silvretta mountains, I was deeply impressed by the peaceful mood and green-grey beauty of the Silvretta Lake. Ice-cold waters rushing from the glaciers of Piz Buin and its neighbours created an amazing abstract form of the lake shore.

I found this log and wondered where it had stood, or was it moved there, I looked around for a deliberate composition to show the tree (in the BG) and what it once was
