A massive storm gets ready to unleash its awesome power over an outback road in Western Australia.
Pretty :)
medium-coloured pencil / Here is part of the series “Lord of the Rings” that I was comissioned to do. / The original is currently hanging in a private collection.
this was a pretty long exposure about 45min. it was a massive storm that hit the coast and as it moved out to sea i procedeed to take some exposures. not very many though due to their length.

I missed a fantastic sunset, and an incredibly intense lightning storm. By the time I got to my chosen vantage point, I was left with the remnants of both. © Sara Lamond 2007. THE WITCH UPON THE HILL (At least I hope that you will enjoy this poem that I read in a book) Her eyes are black, the midnight sea, / Her hair, a sooty cloud / Her voice, the winds of fantasy / Her heart like fire, and proud I could not help but watch her / As beneath the moon she danced. / She whirled, she cast, she conjured / She sang a mystic chant She soared into my sould that night / The starry sky her wings / She whispered secrets in my dreams / And spoke of sacred things Im my mind, she entranced me / Her kiss was magick-laced / Her touch, it left me trembling / And craving her embrace The Skys obey her every wish, / The elements, her commands, / She wields a power over me, / My heart lies in her hands For her I’d cross the universe, / For her I’d swim the sea, / But what could an Enchantress want / With a simple man like me? She came, and said “I love you, / And likely, always will.” / My heart, I pledge, forevermore / To the witch upon the hill. / I created this image image using Photoshop. It is a mixture of Images that i layered and manipulated to create this image. It is an original concept created by me. / I would like to thank the contributing artists that allowed me to use their beautiful stock images. / (Always ask permission first before using or stealing anyone else s work, they work hard to create their art!) It has been wonderful month of stormy weather and rain in the desert. Captured tonight, just outside my back gate. I had a wonderful time sitting and gazing open-mouthed at the spectacular lightning show that unfolded before my eyes. This image features one of my favourite kurkara (desert oak trees) silhouetted against the stormy night sky. As an added bonus tonight, I captured these images whilst listening to the incredible soundtrack of frogs singing in the desert – a rare and wonderful sound. These little fellas spend most of the time burrowed under the bark of trees or in the earth… just waiting for the rains to fall again. What a special treat to hear them tonight! The Black Queen-Bishop’s Pawn / Artist: Simon Sherry / Biography: Danny The left side of the Shaman’s: brain, the feminine, is represented by metal and machinery Forged of metals, the origins of which have long been forgotten, and imbued with eldritch energies from within the Queen’s Shaman herself, these cold steel hulks are highly effecient in close-quarters combat. Initially capable of bursts of high speed, the Doomhammers wind down to a more sluggish pace, limited to striking at those foolish enough to get too close. /
