Sometimes all you can do is bravely seek the comfort of others! I have been working on this piece for the last few days and added the finishing touches this morning after I logged on to the Bubble and read dearest Fa’s AKA frozenfa recent journal entry. Taken in 2008 / My cat Midnight. Probably the only time she’s ever held that still for me. / And probably the only really good close up shot I’ll get of her eye. I sort of lured her in with the photography light. It was warm and so naturally she wanted to lay in front of it. I think I took this with my macro lens, but I can’t remember. © Jessica Walker

About a month ago I was bought some beautiful tulips. I sketched them in pencil hoping I could use them in a later painting, here they are. Of course, there had to be a cat too, this one is called Tulalah. She is shy and likes to hide, she loves only the best things in life, so has her favourite Clarice Cliff pottery on show.
