I love hornets, I don’t like being around them but I’ve always thought that there are much worse jobs if you have to be reincarnated as an insect. / Nobody messes with a hornet. I was thinking of the Book of Kells when I got the idea for this. Image was taken at Banham zoological wildlife park Norfolk England UK Golden-headed lion tamarin I love this image…............. (-: The golden-headed lion tamarin is a small, squirrel-sized monkey, about 26 cm long with a 35 cm tail and long golden lion-like mane. It is predominantly black with golden fur to the front of the mane, the lower half of the front paws and part of the tail. The face, hands and feet remain bare. The feet have sharp claws (most other primates have nails) that are useful for gripping and climbing branches and also for grabbing their insect meals. Country: Brazil Continent: South America Diet: Insects – insectivore, fruit – frugivore, small lizards. Food & feeding: Omnivore Habitats: Tropical Rainforest Conservation status: Endangered

This was taken with a flash of course.. it was later on in the eve and I saw these two working there way to a crash.. So I popped up and hand held as close as I dared with time running out. Its kind of neat the background was almost black .. these fellows do have neat color dabs on em.. / Chuck Large Wall Hangers Look Good

I don’t often see monarch butterflies, so when I spotted this one at Hodges Gardens near Many, Louisiana, I employed my husband’s help in trying to get a good shot at it. Tommy stood guard at the upper level of the butterfly garden while I posted myself in the lower portion. Thanks to my husband’s keen eye, I finally relocated the elusive flutterer and got this photo of it to which I’ve applied some PS filters.
