I went out today to get some shots and ended up walking up this rather steep sand hill (I could get fit if I keep this up). On the way back to the car I dropped my shutter release, but after backtracking for a while I finally found it. Thankfully, I didn’t have to climb this hill again to search for it.!!! / And to top that off, I almost sank in mud and nearly lost a shoe at another location…but that story is for another photo…. Title inspired by Frank Zappa. / / / / / /

This was taken at Swansea, Newcastle NSW, Australia. The water around this place is absolutley amazing – the most beautiful blues I have ever seen…unfortunately not so good for capturing in IR…but I managed to get the sky to turn out like the colour of the water. Honestly, that’s the colour of the water. / / / / / / / / / / /

A beautiful shot of a maple trees in the fall with the contrasting sky above. Taken in true Infrared to highlight the foliage and contrast the sky. The leaves were a bright yellow. Rendered as a duo-tone. Location: Gatineau Park, Quebec, Canada. Well, I’m back from my trip to the farm …. back to civilization ..ie..the internet. I took lots of photos – way too many.. Here is one I took at a stop over in Sydney. This is a fountain at Olympic Park and naturally the first photo I post has to be infrared. PS..Can’t wait to check out all the work everyone posted while I was away =-)

This is for the HDIR group challenge. The original image is infrared. Taken on my old FujiFilm FinePix with an R72 filter attached. I used Topaz Adjust to get the HDR effect on the leaves of the tree. The challenge stipulates a reflection….so I made one ..(I hope) by inverting the original image and adding some motion blur and altering the perspective. Then I added a layer of texture ..I felt it just needed something else to finish it off. Oh, and the title comes from a band called “LIVE” from their CD “Mental Jewelry” It’s playing at the moment on my computer and I thought it was appropriate.
