It was a fun piece that has been popular, the original has already been sold to a doctor in Queensland, and prints requested overseas. It’s funny, the paintings you don’t think will be popular, are the ones that receive the most interest sometimes. Recently there’s been a spate of crocodile attacks here in Australia. / / Just last weekend, 11 year old Birony Goodsell was dragged underwater by one and never resurfaced. / / If feel deeply sorry for her and even worse for her family but for crying out loud, she was swiming in our most dangerous state, in a place called Black Jungle Swamp. / / That’s just asking for it. / / So now authorities are setting traps to catch and kill these so called ‘menacing’ crocodiles. / / Fair enough but I think it’s important for all of us to remember that we don’t own this planet. We share it with millions of other species and we have to learn and teach our children to respect them and their rights. / / I’m doing this shirt to present the lighter side of these primordial creatures and point out that they aren’t menacing. They’re just hungry. / / /

With this image I cut out a guitar from a photo of my brother in law jamming on Easter 2007. I cleaned it up, put it through my filter gallery, added the poster edges effect, then I cloned some spots to darken some areas. I also added some shadow on the bottom of the guitar with my basic brushes (photoshop brushes). I then added swirls (photoshop brushes) and erased some parts of it. For the background I added angel wings (photoshop brushes) and put some style to them. I gave them somewhat of an invisible look so whatever color shirt you choose, the wings will be that color. I also added some hearts (photoshop brushes) because we all have that love for music. Underneath the guitar, I added some musical notes (photoshop brushes) to give it that nice touch. Then I said to myself, what the hell, I will add some splatter paint to it to give some extra color and for more of a playful look. For the colors, I altered the colors with my image adjustments. I fixed the contrast, added highlights, and made an auto color adjustment. This is my entry for the music machines challenge
