  • This is a classic view of the Snowdon massif in Snowdonia, North Wales. Often referred to as the Horseshoe owing to the curved arc of the the four main peaks. I shot this in low light with Llyn Mymbyr (Mymbyr Lake) in the foreground. Scanned at 4000 dpi from black and white film on a Nikon Coolscan V ED.

  • On a damp and misty April morning in the beautiful Tywi Valley in South Wales, these trees appeared out of the mist. I toned the image for effect. Scanned at 4000 dpi from black and white film on a Nikon Coolscan V ED.

  • Its funny. I waited for ages to take a clear shot of the great wall, then these two children came running into shot. I thought I would crop them out of it, but looking at it, they give a bit of life to it.

  • Waiting For Doc – by RD Riccoboni ™ portrait of three Labs. Three family members waiting for their master to return. Sometimes the slightest shift in the way you look at things, / a seemingly insignificant change in perspective can alter your life forever, / Author Unknown Color is the first thing you notice about my work. What makes it ‘pop’ is the placement of color and texture. The primary colors in my palette are derived from the colors in the original rainbow flag which represent sexuality, healing, sun, nature, art, harmony and spirit. As a painter I am a visual storyteller. A message comes with the art – perhaps it is playful, calming, erotic, disturbing, political, or even sacred. I like to flirt with the issues and experiences we face in everyday life, the things we do and the places we go that define our lives. Whether positive, humorous, or thought provoking, my work portrays events people relate to while creating a sense of place for the viewer. RD. • An edit of a photo i took at Cape Otway Lighthouse just of Victoria’s Great Ocean Road in Australia a few months ago on the 28th of February 2008. HDR’d in Photomatix from one RAW file . Found a pic of some birds i took at Elwood Beach a while ago and added them in Photoshop. Some tweaking was also done in Lightroom including the black and white conversion and above is the end result. The Lighthouse is just one of many beautiful attractions in the Great Otway National Park. CAPE Otway Lightstation is the oldest, surviving lighthouse in mainland Australia. The light, which has been in continuous operation since 1848, is perched on towering sea cliffs where Bass Strait and the Southern Ocean collide. For thousands of immigrants, after many months at sea, Cape Otway was their first sight of land after leaving Europe. • PHOTOGRAPHY A Great Day For Freedom

  • Pencil, PhotoshopCS4, Illustrator / Available as a framed art print, canvas, mounted print and greeting card. / For a long time, my work has focused on the idea of finding happiness when things seem ugly outside. Bright colors, cute inviting characters and floral designs would populate imaginative worlds. Running with these ideas a new direction has emerged. As I close my eyes, visions of a central figure (here is a self portrait) seem to always appear. Eventually they surfaced in my paintings and act as a focal point inviting the viewer into a playful place free of ugliness and filled with simplistic aesthetics. / All Origional art work can be purchased through the artist. —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-——- Copyright notice: / All rights reserved. • A great blue heron patiently waits for dinner to pass by as he rests on a rocky ledge in the middle of the Moira River in Belleville, Ontario. This is the first black & white image I’ve posted using my new 100-400mm lens. It was also my first visit to this particular location to shoot waterfowl. Although I liked the color version, I was drawn to this black & white version more. Camera Details: / Canon Rebel EOS XTi with Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM Lens @ 400mm. SS 1/320, ISO 200, f/5.6. Shot in RAW and converted to monochrome in Digital Photo Professional. SHOT HANDHELD using the rail along the walkway for stability. I will NOT be hand holding this lens for long periods of time. My tripod and I are now going to become better acquainted…lol Bird Gallery / Black & White Gallery / Black frame, bright white matting & flat frame / / ADD RENEE TO YOUR WATCHLIST

  • A single tree stands high above Great Langdale in the Cumbrian Lake District, against the passing rain clouds, while (OK squint and view the large version lol ) a small flock of birds circle against the clouds. The light just broke through below the tree as I raised the camera. Each time I deliver to the Old Dungeon Ghyll, I always check to see if it has survived the passing seasons.
