  • Lagrasse, France 2007

  • Created entirely in CS2 photoshop using various tools and filters. Swats of color was first merged onto a blank space and then manipulated to thru several processes to achieve the desired result.

  • I’m experimenting with wintery low light. I hope you will enjoy this photo as much as I enjoyed the experience.

  • Cat stuck on roof….

  • The tower of the historic church at Saint Germain des Prés, though a fairly underrated on the tourist map, is a beautiful Parisian site and claims to its fame of being the oldest Parisian church. Top ten in Gothic challenge Colors of monochrome: Some of my other work: / / / © Kuntal Daftary

  • This is a side entrance to Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France. Taken with a Nikon D40x and used PSP to do the selective coloring.

  • Near my gran’father’s farm, in “la Nièvre”, a lost country in center of France, these two old “ladies” were waiting, blind and exhausted, their forbidden owner…. I used to play in this car, mainly used as hen shelter… then , I was on a long motorway, going through desert land or tracking gangsters !!... It was a really nice playground ! lol !

  • everything is quiet, soft… / Light is smoothly surrendering place to shadows… / Noises are dumb, drowned in dust… Green house in Saint Simon near Toulouse

  • Branches of these rather unusual trees(well unusual to Australia anyway) taken at St Antione L’Abbaye France. I have turned up the blue a fraction. It was the middle of the day, and the trees are have much lighter exterior, so shooting into the light has given it a more sinister look. /

  • On the corner of Rue Descartes and Rue de la Montagne Ste Genevieve, Quartier Latin, Paris. The cafe below the apartment I often stay in.

  • This is an Oil Pastel portrait done on “14 X “25 toothed white paper in the style of French Rococo / portrait of my good friend NatMason / This special lady has donated all sales from her wonderful works to the Wildlife-appeal project to help animal who are victims of the fires in Australia. / / / Copyright / These Images and Writings Do Not Belong To ANY Public Domain. • The Blackbird and the Rose Tree

  • A photo taken ‘around the corner’. I couldn’t resist because of the donkey in between the cows. / ‘Around the corner’ is part of Nièvre, France. August 2009: Featured in Animal Composites & Fine Art

  • Chapel of the Black Madonna at Rocamadour. 3 bracketed RAW images tonemapped in Photomatix 3.1. to create HDR image. Fuji Finepix S9500, ISO 80, f8. 3 frames +2,0,-2 EV’s. Taken in December 2007. Tripod used. The light in the Chapel is extremely subdued and the benefits of HDR are evident in bringing out the colour. This was my first attempt at HDR in a low light situation and I was very pleasantly surprised. • Not your typical tourist snapshot of this historical monument, this photograph was taken by my father, J. Reeves Haley in March, 1945. The most stricking difference of course is the traffic , or lack of it – just a few army vehicles and soldiers. / This was taken with his Zeiss Super Ikonta BX which I have now.

  • Another photograph taken by J. Reeves Haley in March 1945. The scene is rather desolate because, obviously, there was still a war going on – a war that radically changed everyday life for most of the world’s population. The contrast with a current view of the same scene would be striking. Photo was taken with a Zeis Ikon Super Ikonta BX.

  • This is a manipulation of a single colour RAW image. Firstly I created 7 TIFF files with different exposures +3,+2,+1,0,-1,-2,-3 EV’s to create an HDR effect. Secondly I converted to Black and White. After various adjustments I used the tutorial by Anna Shaw to add light rays to enhance the scene. Whilst the original shot was taken on a cloudy day I feel the manipulation has added a sense of drama and atmosphere which was not evident in the original. All the manipulation work was done in CS3 The scene is L’Aber, Brittany, France and was taken with a Fuji Finepix S9500 in 2007. /
