I was flipping through my iTunes catalogue and Massive Attack’s Protection caught my eye because of the flame icon on the cover. The flame/fire/flammable icon is such a strong graphical message, so I had a go at crafting my own for a tee. Enjoy!

The Black Queen-Knight’s Pawn / Artist: Simon Sherry / Biography: Danny The Little Sisters , as they’re commonly known (there is no room for affection in the Army of the Black Spear) are much like their male counterparts and are more than capable to form their own ranks on the battlefield . They will usually fraternize with the King-Knight’s pawns, who are more often than not their husbands and neighbours. Though it is uncommon for these warrior women to aim their sites for promotion to the rank of Queen-Knight, it is not unusual for one to occasionally rise to the rank of Queen herself, such is the turn-over rate for the role of King’s Consort.

Dear Peter … Josie and I just returned from Central America a few days ago … you remember .. I told you about the trip a few months ago (smile) ... Well … (grin) ... we were extremely lucky to catch a glimpse of the newest variation of the Quetzal bird … Spendorus Resplendent … only seen once before by the noted orthinologist, Roger M. Milhouse, PhD, on his last trip to the region back in 2001. You remember him don’t you? ... the bird guy from back in our university days? LOL … I know you couldn’t have forgotten him (grin) ... well … You can imagine our excitement yet we were able to quickly get his photo. No not Roger’s photo (grin) ... Do check the attachment (smile) After we returned I sent a copy to Roger who immediately emailed back that it was indeed the bird that he had seen. I plan to meet with him in a few months to tentatively plan a trip back to the area where we sited the bird. I’m so excited I can hardly wait. Would you be interested in joining me when I meet with Roger? .. Josie is tied up with another project and won’t have time to help me out on this one. The Black King / Artist: Simon Sherry / Biography: Danny The culture of the Army of the Black Spear since time immemorial has been that of the warrior. Descendant of a hundred Kings, he holds the collective memory of all those that led before him. He knows the secrets of the Shaman and will settle for nothing less than total obedience from all that he controls. Ironically, though he is a warrior King he has never seen face to face battle with an enemy due to his abilities as extreme commander, and the fact that Tribal Army law forbids him from entering any fray that could endanger his rule or life no matter how small the odds. Continually frustrated by this, he takes what small satisfaction he can from adding another notch to his throne as each opposing army falls.
