A selection of flower portraits taken in black and white by Canberra based photographer and artist Nathan J Lester. This calendar is a showcase of the collection of Nathan J Lester’s flower portraits taken over the last 14 years. These exquisite images are reminiscent of Mapplethorpe’s flawless flower images of the 80’s but different enough to deserve credibility of their own. Each flower is captured in black and white, intimately drawing the viewer into the image and displaying a visual sensuality that only nature can give. Nathan J Lester has ensured that the texture of each individual flower is evident in the image thus bringing the viewer to a new level of experience, an experience where you feel you could almost touch the flower.

Several images contained within this calendar are no longer and will not be in my portfolio again. Once I have sold 5 of this calendar I will be removing it from sale completely. Thanks for looking.

Silver Expressions is a selected portfolio of fine art black and white photographs by scientist and photographer Iain Gilmour. Iain Gilmour is a scientist and photographer working and living around London. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Iain studied geology at university which introduced him to some of the marvelous landscapes of his native Scotland and kindled a life long interest in landscape photography. He continues to photograph landscapes, now largely in monochrome, but has photographic interests that span architecture, nature, and people. Through his use of light, composition and tonality Iain’s images attempt to convey an intimate and emotive interpretation of his subject. Although he now uses digital technology, his black and white prints continue to parallel traditional darkroom techniques and he attaches great importance to the tonal quality of his images.

This calendar is composed completely of the top 12 images favoured by you the RedBubble viewer. I took the number of views for each image and divided by the number of favourites on each image.
