/ / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / Belted is a self-portrait taken from photographic artist Jaeda DeWalt’s series of the same name and is a part of the DeWalt Gallery collection. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / Available for sale as Laminated Prints, Matted Prints, Posters, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints / / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / about this series / The Belted series came about when my stability ball burst. I use it to do my stomach crunches and sit-ups. I remembered the movie, “The Professional” and decided to belt myself to the edge of my bed to do my sit-ups, the way Leon did in the movie, until my new stability ball arrived. I ended up hooking a bunch of belts together and thought to myself “Hey, that would make an awesome photo prop!” and the Belted series was conceived. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / This image is featured in Jaeda’s Artography Book! / / / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / visit the rest of this series . . . / / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / browse Jaeda’s photographic art by category: / dreamscapes, artistic nudes, couples, glamour, erotica, conceptual, sensual, portrait, spiritual, survivor art / /

Oil on A4 paper. Oct 2008. This could be the launch of the latest Sony Playstation on Venus. / Or my friend recons it could be 3 guys that are trying to pick a lock. / But this was actually partly inspired by the Stanley Kubrick sci-fi masterpiece called 2001 – A Space Odyssey & its sequel, 2010 – The Year We Make Contact. / Both movies featured a black monolith, my version features a more advanced piece of technical equipment with some buttons.
24” x 36” acrylic on canvas. Copyright Derek Shockey 2008. “Chained… I was hoping you’d remain / To this moment / Where our hearts speak ages / Not the cages moan / Hey… I was hoping you would stay / Long enough to try and fan the fire / Shed your wire gown / Golden rings just weigh you to the ground / And it’s not enough And it’s not enough… / But I live for the touch. / Starved… I was wishing I could carve / My name into your heart of wood / Dear… would it be clear now? / Wed to an image in my head / Is it true that you could bring me closer / To the dying sun? / The next assault may be the lucky one / And it’s not enough And it’s not enough … / But I live for the touch. / Plagued… by a dream where I’m enslaved / It’s a void that’s always left me wanting / Sleeps in haunting fields / Wait… tell me you believe in fate / Could it be that we are getting closer to the only one? / Golden rings will always weigh a ton / And it’s not enough And it’s not enough / But I live for the touch. / It’s not enough I live for the touch / Live for the touch / I live for the touch.” - Charles/ Bloedow 500.00 for original.

On DeviantART / On Zazzle / ArtRage 2.5 and graphics tablet Details / Earth and Sky, / Land and Sea, / Day and Night, / Life and Death, / Mortality and Immortality, / Growth and Stillness Unchanging, / Warmth and Coldness… Eternal lovers, chasing each other, untouching enemies dancing together…
On Zazzle / on DeviantART Strongly inspired by Kagerou ... all the flowy red and orange hair, and a bit of Van Gogh’s Starry Night as well, for the background. A fierce and free magechild, who commands the fire of the night and moves through their own imagination at will… / Basically, controls the realm of dreams. / (also, Kagerou is possibly maybe initially believed to be a crazy-dream-journey) ArtRage 2.5 and graphics tablet
