  • Scarification is a means of permanently marking the skin by cutting alone, without the use of pigments. The scars may be lighter or darker than your original skin tone and may raise up (keloid scarring). There are many ways to produce a scar but the cut must always penetrate the dermis if a scar is to be produced. The result depends as much on your skin as the method used. Black skin in particular is very good at producing pronounced keloid scars and this is a popular alternative to tattooing for people with very dark skin, for whom a tattoo might not show up very well. In many parts of Africa these scars are marks of beauty and a way to identify someone belonging to a particular group. Scarification also may mark one’s status as a civilized being, adult, or member of a specific ethnic group or initiation association. • Full view please :) The amazing Stacey Yount has again surprised me with a beautiful poem to accompany this image. I Always Have You Near Me is the second collaboration for Stacey and myself. Stacey is an amazing poet and a lovely person as well. Here is I Always Have You Near Me: I always have you near me / Even if you are far away Your love is carried to me / On the whisper of butterfly wings / Even when you are far away A zephyr sings it through the trees / And brings me joy / Even as I wait for you to return from far away Every exquisite blossom I see / Reminds me of the magnificent shades of our love / Even though you may be far away You are in my mind / A part of my soul / and are my heart See, I always feel you near me / Even if you are far away ..::Stock Photo Credit::.. / Female model / Male model / Background (trying to locate stock) / Butterflies If you like this, please check out: / / /

This was taken in autumn with a Canon DSLR EOS 350D camera and a 18-55mm lens. This was featured in the Canon DSLR Group, Rural Around the Globe group, Windows and Doors Group, Falling Leaves group and the Nature’s Reclamation Group.

  • I MADE THE TOP 20 ... words can’t do justice to how excited and thankful I am!! ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ My design entry for the sensational music machine tee challenge Without that profound ability to hear & interpret sound that is within all of us… we would not even know, hear or feel music. The brain is the hard drive… the epicentre that drives it all. The ears are our microphones… and our hearts are our bass amps where we feel the sound. One of the greatest joys I can feel is to find a song that touches on such a deep and moving level… thats when the sound travels straight to my heart!! So in reality… the best music machine of all… is us!! Thank You For the Music!!
