But the black is still choking her. Thoughts coiled tightly in her mind, pressing harder.

Thank you for taking the time to read this piece. I’d really love some feedback on what people think of my work, my thoughts. What does the story mean to you? Am I eliciting any feelings, thoughts or memories? Your comments are very much appreciated. / Cherie

  • The Shadows in the Dark
    by DevaDaDiva

A Shadow crept by the tents. The fire flickered, as the shadow bent down. The light went out, blackness covered the camp grounds, silence…

When I wrote this, I didn’t have a very good vocabulary. So it’s not as good as it could be, but I changed it up a little on one part, because it didn’t have enough detail. But, all in all, I kept it very much the same as how it was when I first wrote it. So, sorry if it’s not the best thing in the world. ABOUT THE STORY: / It might be a little bit confusing, and you might not truly understand what’s going on. Where of which, I might have a horrible vocabulary, but my mind is very complex. So, I’ll tell you what the story means, and what its really about: -So, the stories about the darkness, and the shadows in the darkness. Basically, its about the unknown. This story takes place while, me or myself, is asleep, although it doesn’t actually have to do with me, or sleeping. It’s not my dream, and it’s not fake, yet it’s not completely real either. Sorry if this is confusing, but I’m trying to tell you what it truly is about. Basically, the shadow is just the feeling, not something real, not the shadow of something, and not something you can see, but something that you can feel is there, like a ghost sort of, i guess. Have you ever been walking down the street or sitting somewhere, maybe theres people, maybe theres not, maybe no ones even around, but yet you feel like someones watching you, or someones there, or maybe you hear your name being called and you look around, but no one was calling you, almost like it was the wind? Well, this story is kinda like that. Except instead of my writing the story in a persons perspective, i wrote it just in general. So, instead of me being scared of it, or confused, its just IT in general. The story is about the creepy sound, or the feeling, but not about you or me. It’s about the feeling without the person, just the feeling by itself. Do you get what I mean? It’s just…Mysterious!! It’s about what happens when your not there, but happens when your not looking. Like when you come home and something is in a different place than where you left it and you wonder how it got there, or when it seems as though something, someone or some animal is having a conversation with something or someone else in their mind, but not like a real conversation but like, something more…..effective, something that we don’t know about or is unknown. Something confusing that we don’t understand. Like, unconsciously thinking something that your conscious mind doesn’t know about, or doesn’t even realize is happening. Like, when you don’t know your thinking, or you don’t realize your paying attention, but later you have information on something and you don’t know how you got it, but somehow your unconscious mind picked it up. I don’t know how to explain it very well, although it’s crystal clear in my mind. But, I don’t want to write anymore, so I hope you got it. If not….whatever!? THANKS FOR READING!! =]
