This female Sumatran Tiger Panthera tigris sumatrae lives at the Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma, Washington. Although they are kept separated most of the time there is also a male and hopefully some day there will be kittens. There are only 4 to 500 wild Sumatran Tigers left due to habitat distruction and captive breeding may be the only way to keep this unique species from going extinct.
