This is something again a little different. I love Melboourne and some of it’s streets are a mixture of graffiti, half pulled down posters and they end up creating their own edgy feel. I put this one together as a more of a collage with some art over the top. I hope you like it.

Just one sheet makes a big difference; / One sheet makes over 2000 cranes. / Each crane a step closer to a better world; / Each piece a step closer to peace. Each square in the grid paper is 5×5mm; and to be exact, there were 2028 full squares in the paper I had difficulty photographing this; and am not fully satisfied with the end result, but I suppose this is the best I can do with my camera (I’m satisfied with the origami though!) I hope everyone likes the idea anyhow. For me it’s always more about the origami than the photography skills. For a better idea of scale: / /

A day at the beach in Essaouira, Morocco. July 2007. A lovely little beach town, in the middle of summer, this place was like an oasis. We left Marrakesh which was getting up to 40 degrees Celsius each day and I remember being on the bus for about 3 hours and then ten minutes outside of Essaouira the temperature dropped about 10 degrees. It was such an amazing relief. Even still, it was very hot and I can’t imagine going to the beach dressed like this. It’s a far cry from Australian beaches I have to say!

I removed everything from a photo of a butterfly except its inside markings. Then, I set it on a black background and played with colors until I got this. Something different, different, at least, from the usual things I do. Just experimenting and having fun!

I love Norway so much. An endlessly varying landscape, great people, amazing language and fantastic cheese – the country is perfect. Peter was also in the group..he was really friendly and we had a good chat, he wanted to know where my country was and how long i was in Broome and he really wanted me to take photo’s from the baby and Jasmein and also himself..they loved to look on my screen how the photos looked and always ask me ‘miss you coming back”.
