  • A collage of Skipping Girl taken from a photo I took of a non working neon sign. It’s a great melbourne icon located in Victoria Street and as it doesn’t work I decided to re-inject the colour back into it. This is part of a series of works based around this very cool little sign.

  • Music and Art have both moved forward with technology. Gouche, collage and ink on 180gsm white paper. ~ Printed Reproductions available by taking the image link Medium Poster Print Shown / 595mm x 827mm / AU$49.00 Greeting Card / AU$4.90 /

  • The original collage was done on a piece of paper in ink, watercolour, and gold tube beads glued to it. Unfortunately, the beads fell off as it was shipped to its buyer and the piece was damaged. So the only remnant left is this digital copy. I believe that every tree tells a different story. :)

  • Grim Reaper – noun / the personification of death. [Origin: 1925–30] Old Slavic tribes viewed Death as a woman in white clothes, with a never-fading green sprout in her hand. The touch of the sprout would put a human to an everlasting sleep. This image survived Christianization well into the Middle Ages, only being replaced by the more traditional European image of a walking skeleton as late as in the 15th century. Death as a sentient entity is a concept that has existed in many societies since the beginning of recorded history. In Western cultures, death is usually given the name, the “Grim Reaper”, and shown as a skeletal figure carrying a large scythe, and wearing a midnight black gown, robe or cloak with a hood, or sometimes, a white burial shroud. Usually when portrayed in the black-hooded gown, only his eyes can be seen.

  • New and Improved version of Lady Death Check out the previous version for a detailed background description.

  • The listless sun deceived our farewell, / boats were leaving like flies, / birds puckered up like toothless mouths / and fell stiff and dead from the heavens. When I was alone under the yellow sky / where my eyes were ripping up rags, / I turned out my pockets / in the hope of finding an exile companion. There was nothing in them / nothing but dust from the roads, / nothing but roads of misery, / nothing but dead queens nailed to wooden beams. (René Daumal)
