I took this on a recent trip to Brighton, and got up early so I could catch some cool light, and the dynamics of what was a very rough sea… well… comparitively. Brighton Pier is one of the classic 19th century piers in the UK, amusements on the end, kiss me quick hats for sale and so on… Black and white has given the picture an edge over the colour version….

This work is to promote the new group Victoriandustrial. What is Victoriandustrial? Victorian with an edgy modern goth, punk feel. Corsets, tea parties, absinthe, Gothic Lolita. It’s subculture baby, alternative decadence. Think tight-laced corsets, decadent tea parties, bloomers, bloomered harlot/rogue, bustle skirts and combat boots. Absinthe drinkers, prince of Denmark, Dandy wretched men in tophat and tales, striped stockings and chains…. Check out the group for more information :P For this work I was trying my hardest to be punky and edgy while really showing off the Victorian style. Lol…Don’t know if I succeeded though…Oh well I had alot of fun making this :P

[NOTE: I did finally change the name from Erigeron philadelphicus to Keeping it Simple, lame I know, but better than it’s scientific name, right?] I like the simplicity of this picture, but it almost seems like something should be written in the left side. But I just don’t know what. I think it would make a nice card. “
