  • Personally this is one of my favourites; as it reminds me of a boys journey through life and the steps he has to learn to climb. Everytime I look at it, the boy reminds me much of myself and the steps and the journeys that I have taken in life; the places I’ve gone, the people I’ve met, and all the adventures and affairs. Now I feel ‘Just a few more steps, and I’ll be home’ Sintra / Portugal Nikon F3 20mm lens original B/W neg scanned thru NikonScan OVER ONE HUNDRED VIEWS ~ THANK YOU*

  • I am only uploading this b&w version for my portflolio – I think it will look better than sepia – a more cohesive body of work (I am keeping the sepia version but moving it down). This image has been sitting here unpublished for a very long time. Thank you for looking. Debxx

  • I have had this image and a couple of others hidden from view – I thought I might as well publish it .. I have a few unpublished that are in black and white which I will publish also. I hope you like :) This is the black and white version of A Blue Day.

  • I especially loved his laces. /

  • Taken with a lensbaby – there is nothing more beautiful than watching a child sleep.

  • I have been scanning lots of negatives lately and came across these that I took last autumn. I didn’t initially print them because my beloved Leica R3 had a light leak – some negs were beyond saving but I have managed to get quite a few where I feel the light leakage has actually been beneficial to the outcome. I may be posting more from this series or might just put them on my website .. they work better as a body of work than singular. You get more of an insight into childhood and how a walk in a frost laden woodland opens up a new world to them.

  • Another image taken on a Hasselblad and another image for my developing ‘Childhood Narratives’ portfolio.

  • more work from the hasselblad :)

  • Last one. Final in my series on the school playground. I decided to post this because of something that berndt2 posted on my ‘time passes’ calender. (I wish I could do links). He came across a philosophy in which it states that: ‘nothing good lasts forever .. but then nothing bad does either’. This image is my life now .. my children. This isn’t a projected memory like ‘playground’ and ‘isolation’. That was time passing and this is time passing also – both the sad and the happy. I do photography for two reasons one to project my feelings and memories and the other is to record the life of my family – this is one of them :)

  • Texture from Deviantart.com

  • Rene is walking now still a bit unsteady but gaining ground quickly. I see her determination and stubbornness even now as she rushes to learn and try everything she lays her eyes upon. Makes my heart both hurt and burst with pride…

  • This negative has been stretched to its limit exposure wise but there was something about the body language that made me like it. Another one based upon childhood memories. I hated the silence of night time when everything was dark .. I would hear someone coming up the stairs, I would call out but no-one was there.
