Ikebukuro, Tokyo. The morning rush across the street from the train station and metro. Everyone jostling for space. I think it shows how hectic life can be in an Asian metropolis. / Today was my first try at using long exposures, and I felt that this was the best of the bunch from today. Any constructive criticism is welcome. I took this close-by to my home. !
Bumblebees are social insects that are characterized by black and yellow body hairs, often in bands. However, some species have orange or red on their bodies, or may be entirely black. Another obvious (but not unique) characteristic is the soft nature of the hair (long, branched setae), called pile, that covers their entire body, making them appear and feel fuzzy. They are best distinguished from similarly large, fuzzy bees by the form of the female hind leg, which is modified to form a corbicula; a shiny concave surface that is bare, but surrounded by a fringe of hairs used to transport pollen (in similar bees, the hind leg is completely hairy, and pollen grains are wedged into the hairs for transport). Like their relatives the honey bees, bumblebees feed on nectar and gather pollen to feed their young. I will donate 100% of proceeds from the sales of this image to The Wildlife Trusts

Taken in Victoria Harbour in Hong Kong, this businessman continues about his day not realizing the beauty of his surroundings. This image is sure to make your eye stray all around the frame, taking in the angles, lines, and great light. It never ceases to make people say “wow”!
This is my personal dedication to one of the best night’s out Melbourne had to offer in the late 90s – mid 00s. The night, by the same name, was held at Room680, in Hawthorn. It was the home to some of the best DJs and music at the time, and became a place of great memories for me today. The original Japanese Kanji characters were taken from a poster in a back alley in Chinatown, Melbourne. The two characters represent anarchy and chaos. Filled the background with a deep red, added a dusty, scratchy layer, then a splattered paint layer, faded both slightly. Two layers of the same broken glass on top of that. Then a bit of tweaking and contrast adjustment to get this rather vibrant, if not slightly crazy looking piece. The night itself was nothing short of crazy, busy, active and fun. Kinda gave you the energy to run out and throw yourself through a window.. but in a good way! Themed loosely around Japanese underground electronica clubs. Thanks Teriyakianarkisaki for a great few years of fun! It was a game to him, it was a hunt..a hunt for the perfect victim, they wouldn’t even have a clue, not a chance for escape, he didn’t look the type, he was handsome, charismatic, the women found him irresistible, he didn’t even have to try to persuade them to come home with him.. She was perfect..beautiful, petite, full of life, after a few drinks and some conversation he had her in his spell, flirting, and complementing her, she was putty in his hands..he could feel the excitement race through his veins as he walked her to his truck..when they pulled up in front of the building, he seen the realization come across her face..her fear only excited him more..she grabbed the door handle ready to flee..but he was too quick and had her by the hair..dragging her out the drivers side door screaming, she fought him with all her strength, kicking, biting, but he wasn’t even fazed by her blows..as he climbed the stairs and slid open the door, he smiled..knowing that the Final Steps in this game were about to begin.
