Drought Breaker As the farmer knelt down on the salty sand, / He needed rain to save his land. / The crops were wilting, the cattle all dead, / He looked around, not a word was said. The ground was dry, where is the rain? / What could stop this worthless pain? / The farmer cursed in sheer despair, / He did not have a drop to spare. A thundercloud covers the western sky, / A bolt of lightning explodes near by. / The farmer looks up and begins to pray, / Hoping that the rain will come his way. Then drip-by-drip it starts to fall, / The crystal water like a clear glass wall. / The trees and flowers all in bloom, / Then once again, gone is the gloom. Angled shot taken inside the Anglican Cathedral in Liverpool. Really enjoy finding new angles and views within this building and its a great place to practice my photography. / . / Spent a lot of time with the position and cropping of this image to produce the desired look. / . / Your comments always help. / . / ste / . / Location: The Lady Chapel / . / The first part of the Cathedral to be completed and consecrated for worship was the Lady Chapel. The style of this lovely Chapel, which stands at the far south east corner of the Cathedral, is more elaborate than the main body of the Cathedral in a way which reflects its date and the influence of G F Bodley who was, at that time, working with the Cathedral architect.

FUSIONARTPHOTOGRAPHY This photograph is about my return to Melbourne after eight exciting and event filled years living in Japan and China . Regular trips home to see family and friends had not really prepared me for that emotional roller coaster ride that many experience after the conclusion of an overseas assignment. / Initially, when living in countries where the language is foreign ,one delves deep inside oneself and adjusts by becoming more observant to compensate. The experience is beyond description. / Upon returning home ones’ city has become a mystery. Eye contact/ a smile meant so very much in the re-adjustment period as after such a long period away ,one really belongs nowhere and maybe the heart will always now remain in 3 places and so we have “Mysterious Melbourne” / “ A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step” / Essence of Ancient Wisdom/Form Asia

Urban cityscape as viewed from the observation deck of the Shinjuku government tower (the south one, I think) in Tokyo, Japan. (Admission is free to both towers’ observation decks, so if you’re ever in Shinjuku, bear that in mind. Bear in mind also that your chances of the weather being clear enough to see Mt Fuji are cripplingly small. I certainly didn’t see it!) Anyway, back to the shot: I like it, it’s pretty cool, and I just adore Tokyo; but I was really, REALLY surprised when it won the October pentaxforums forum challenge poll, for the theme : “Cityscape” 8)) So in that regard, I guess it is the most ‘popular’ photo I’ve taken, as well as one I like!

Château de Chenonceau near the French village of Chenonceaux in the Loire Valley, is considered to be a true fairyland caste with its distinctive turrets, rooftops and the unique tower next t the castle.
