The tower of the historic church at Saint Germain des Prés, though a fairly underrated on the tourist map, is a beautiful Parisian site and claims to its fame of being the oldest Parisian church. Top ten in Gothic challenge Colors of monochrome: Some of my other work: / / / © Kuntal Daftary
A wall of bricks, a steel door, and a drain pipe….

Taken deep in the under ground bunkers and tunnels of point Nepean National Park in Victoria Australia….Fort Nepean contains an extensive system of fortifications built from the 1880s through to the World War 1 and World War 2. Interpretive displays and audiovisuals are located in several areas and tell the story of defence. Over the years, including the last 40,000 years of Aboriginal occupation, the area known as Point Nepean has become enriched with environmental and cultural history. The Quarantine Station was established on the shores of Port Phillip Bay in 1852. It was used to protect the colony of Melbourne from ship borne diseases. There may still be unexploded ordnance in the Point Nepean area. Keep to roads and tracks and observe signs.

The sunset colours, / the setting of the sun indicating an end to the unfathomable 2009 fires of black Saturday. The tall trees with limbs represent the entire families taken, / the saplings the young lives cut short. The child represents our hope, / the single leaf the renewable nature of our botany. The single yellow ribbon, / those millions who gave from their hearts in everyway they could. To this child the leaf is salvation and from where she stands it is all she can see. It was a game to him, it was a hunt..a hunt for the perfect victim, they wouldn’t even have a clue, not a chance for escape, he didn’t look the type, he was handsome, charismatic, the women found him irresistible, he didn’t even have to try to persuade them to come home with him.. She was perfect..beautiful, petite, full of life, after a few drinks and some conversation he had her in his spell, flirting, and complementing her, she was putty in his hands..he could feel the excitement race through his veins as he walked her to his truck..when they pulled up in front of the building, he seen the realization come across her face..her fear only excited him more..she grabbed the door handle ready to flee..but he was too quick and had her by the hair..dragging her out the drivers side door screaming, she fought him with all her strength, kicking, biting, but he wasn’t even fazed by her blows..as he climbed the stairs and slid open the door, he smiled..knowing that the Final Steps in this game were about to begin.
