Found these seeds at the Botanical gardens at Mt Coot-tha. These seeds are no more than 1cm big. It’s got a great textural feel and looks like tiny roots covering the seed. I never had a chance to take note of what tree this came from as the mozzies were just about carrying me away! I just love my passion of macro photography. With the naked eye, it would be very hard to really see the detail in these tiny seeds.

This little guy was only 1.5mm in length, and if I wasn’t looking for an ant to feed a spider, I would have never found him. The only way I could get a shot of him, was to hold him as such, and shoot from the tip of my finger. Notice in the shot, you can see my finget print lines. There is a story, and yet another lesson I learnt after shooting this one, I no sooner put him back on the same leaf I got him from, and BAM!! Withing seconds, he was snapped up by a larger jumping spider. I so badly wanted to rip him out of his clitches, but knew it was only nature playing out the complex world of life. I have photos of this poor little spider in the jaws of a larger spider while I will upload next. It really made me appreciate my life on this beautiful planet as a human. We have life easy after learning about insects! Mount Cootha botanical gardens, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Canon 5D Mk II, 65mm, 5x.
