Exotic Bloom is another from the Beach Series by Karin Taylor / You can see the canvas textured paper showing through here, I used mixed media here, my usual inks, chalk pastel, acrylic and charcoal. / The original painting sold at The Sheoak Shack Gallery Cafe at Fingal some time ago…it’s a miniature painting to give you some idea of scale :) /

A quick drawing of Lillies with pastel pencils on black canson paper. A4 In spring time mother nature wakes up from the bleakness of winter. / Lambs frolic in the fields, flowers bloom and we humans start to walk with a spring in our step. Through drawing these flowers I hope to embody the idea of spring. These blooms although predominantly white have a lovely flush of pink in their centres. The blossoming of these beauties symbolizes the changing of the season. I’m hoping that I have been able to capture the vibrant colours and energy that spring evokes.
