  • A Bishnoi woman, in India’s Great Thar Desert, keeps her environment clean. Her village, located in Rajasthan, is about 30km from the Pakistani border. • after a bit of a ‘search’ to find the Bishnoi people in Rajahstan i had the oppertunity to make some nice connections with the women, which created a very relaxed atmosphere. it was very easy for me to make the shots i wanted..i spent hours there to have’ that’ time, we all need to get used to eatchother and i always thought when they offer us chai, its all good…they let us into their huts and little kitchens, showed us their tidy bedrooms.all their goats and storage rooms…it was just so nice,..this lady keeps looking at me while i’m leaving the village, i waived at her….just one last shot….

  • my main goal was, when i went to Rajahstan to find the Bishnoi, i had seen ‘some images’ and really wanted this group as my main focus of my trip … in the beginning of the trip i was disappointent because I thought they would be ‘everywhere’ in Rajahstan..(that was a bit ‘blond’ to think like that !) but anyway after a few weeks I found 2 different areas where i could finally let my passion do the job..it was great to be in their villages, spend some time there and make ‘many’ photos .they where lovely people and i spent hours chatting to the women..they always staring at me , thats of my blond hair, which i think is a great connection point..so we drink chai and chat and i make my shots . all very relaxed, we make some jokes and its all good…
