Again the old General Hospital… / / It was built in 1897 and was home to Newfoundlands first operating room. The hospital has been closed and condemed for many many years now. Rumor has it that many dark and hideous things were done behind its doors, things that are better left forgotten… Only memories are left now that can haunt its dark and terrifying hallways. / / Cinderellas wicked step sisters would be in their glory having her scrub these floors. /

To better see this work, select option view larger Digital Art: Planet earth gives birth to the Alaskan mountain range. The total beauty of Alaska and its people is a passion of mine. / I just sold ten cards of the “Birth of Alaska.” / I am grateful to the buyer and to Redbubble for making it possible Note: All my digital art work is executed entirely with my mouse and Photoshop Elements’ brushes. It takes hours of concentration, patience and self control. Especially when the mouse wants to go right and you need it to go left! *When this happens , I reluctantly leave my office and go for a stroll in my garden. / That usually takes care of the problem and then, I get back to work :) *

Thanks for all the comments! This is a macro closeup of the lava lamp on my desk, taken a little while after I shook it to make it DO something! The photo was rotated 180 degrees to take advantage of the light reflecting off the tapered part of the glass, which I thought made it look more like the bubbles were being ‘spawned’. Saturation was increased, but the colours are real.

I used tweezers to create the last few folds. I can’t remember how big the paper was, though the wing is 7mm long. So basically I present the creator and the creation where the crane is framed by my fingers forming a circle. We can only understand size, fragility and significance when we compare two things. When we think, for example, how big the world is, we’re like tiny little specks of sand, or even atoms, to the eyes of a God holding the earth in his palm. I did not make this crane and take the picture with the description in my mind; but created it by instinct. It wasn’t easy drawing out my words initially. However many viewers have left very inspiring comments about my work, and for that I am grateful. Thank you.
