This was captured from an airplane window somewhere in California, where exactly in CA is very hard to say as we were pretty high up there and I just couldn’t make out any street signs to tell me exactly where I was :)

I took this shot when the mist was really highlighting the different levels of the Foothills leading to the Rockies. When I added a little saturation and hue I got this pleasing result. Hope you like it.

What a combination! / Saturday November 1/08 at Elbow Falls, a gorgeous spot in the Kananaskis foothills of the Rockies. The mid-afternoon sun’s glare was very strong. / This dog was having a ball chasing anything thrown in the river and this girl was willing to keep him active.

I caught this red-winged blackbird in flight and it was all silhouette with the splayed feathers and all so I decided to play with different things in PS. I am pretty sure it was “solarization” that I used and got this amazing effect. / Hope you like it.

We saw this Australian troupe called Strange Fruit 2 years ago in beautiful downtown Bendigo, Australia and they were the most mesmerizing show to watch. We had three lovely ladies swaying on these long fiberglass poles, almost touching the ground it seemed, and criss-crossing, then meeting, and swaying some more. We even made sure we were back for their second show and we were all as open-mouthed the second time as the first. / We see they are still in action according to the website / http://www.strangefruit.net.au/

Many Australians will recognize this fellow plying his trade in the Dandenongs.

What a treat to be in Ontario in the early fall (maybe too early) to catch some of the leaves turning colour, especially the wonderful maples. Taken Oct 16/08 near Vineland, Ontario.

One of a series of shots that I’ve been taking for a competition (and for fun, of course). The theme is “O Cotidiano”, which means “Routine”, or “Everyday Life” in Portuguese. Fingers crossed. :)

Saturday November 1/08. This gorgeous spot in the Kananaskis foothills of the Rockies is a great diversion for a day drive on what promises to be one of the last really nice days of Fall. The mid-afternoon sun’s glare was very difficult to overcome and I was too rushed to bother with a polarizer.. !
